Sooooo... Today was my first day at the Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion design !
....My day was filled with "ice-breakers" and orientation.... I really like the lecturers too,..
If you'd have asked me this morning how I felt, I guess I would have puked, something other than rainbows, as a friend of mine would say >_< ... But by now, after kind of getting the feel of it all, I'm feeling much better, and not sooo nervous... still a bit nervous, fear of the unknown...
I've made a whole bunch of new friends, which is great, there aalll really different which is lekker.......
after a day filled with nerves and brownies,.. we came back to "res" (yeeesssss yessss, its a student thing :/ ) and watched a movie about Izaac Mizrahi, called "Unzipped" which I really enjoyed, I loved how most of it was in black and white,. and the whole thought process of how the idea formed and moved and grew into a whole stunning runway show..... it was quite beautiful.....
Tomorrow will be our first class of garment construction .....still a bit scared though,.. I hope to evolve and learn as much as I possibly can in these next three years....
This is a sketch a found in one of my more recent sketch books,.. and I kind of really like it...
It feels pretty surreal to actually be staring this.. It's kind of like I've been waiting for this my whole life, and now its here.. and I have to live it... and it is quite daunting and intimidating.. but I think that if I work hard, and do what is expected of me and maybe even more, I might actually be alright....

I'm so excited for you! :) The Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion design sounds SOO wonderful. I always love the 1st day of classes, orientation and ice breakers are always fun…nerves will pass though :) your going to excel, you're a super talented girl and with so much potential it's ridiculous, i am excited to see the great things you'll be doing in the future :D
